Ivy Tech Community College-Bloomington is pleased to announce that it will be hosting the Remnant Trust from August through December, 2006. The Remnant Trust is a public educational foundation that shares an actively growing collection of original and 1st edition works dealing with the topics of liberty and dignity, with some pieces dating as early as 1250.

The Remnant Trust makes this collection available to colleges, universities, and other organizations for use by students, faculty, scholars and the general public. Visitors are encouraged to touch and read the original documents.

Ivy Tech will offer several opportunities for students to see and touch the documents including:

  • A guided tour of the exhibit on campus.
  • A classroom presentation on the influence of the documents on the political philosphy of the nation’s founders (includes 30 minute powerpoint presentation and actual documents).
  • An interactive activity that can be brought to your school. High school students will visit different stations where they can handle the documents while trying to match them with provided clues (document descriptions and/or historical contributions).
  • An academic symposium which includes a box lunch and tour of campus.

For more information or to schedule any one of these activities,
